And copycat the fictional Midnight Poet Society homicides and horrified ocals suspect Jamal could be the mastermind behind the crimes While Charli readies the Barn for a stampede of new customers it’ll take true grit to shelve the culprit before her brainy cousin gets Gray Bishop locked behind bars Ms Barton backs out of the visit and she finds herself up a creek with a serial killer holding the paddl. Ers rather uickly I really enjoyed protagonist Charli her family and of course pet armadillo Princess Such an original choice for a cozy pet The entire cast of characters was so eclectic Really great fun to readMystery mayhem and murder were abundant in this tale Author Kym Roberts was generous with the action and excitement as well Page after page I was drawn further into this story Each time I thought I knew who had dunit I changed my mind and picked someone new The reveal was a complete surprise to me After reading PERIOULS POERTY I dike to go back and read the first two installments of this series Perilous Poetry in the third book in the A Book Barn Mystery seriesI Puckster's First Hockey Sweater like visiting Hazel Rock to see what exciting adventures Princess and her friends are up to and this visit was no exceptionCharli Rae aka Princess is busy checking in a shipment of books and begins to wonder why there are so many copies of theatest Midnight Poet Society Mystery series by Lucy Barton The thought gets answered when her cousin Jamal surprises her with a visit Jamal is uite the gamer and has come up with an app called The Book Seekers and is sure to bring customers to the Book Barn Jamal had developed the app with the help of Barton s daughter Juicy Killer her gaming name One of the early supporters of the app is Penelope Calloway mother of the Mayor and wife of the former Mayor and can t wait to start collecting books with her app But soon she is calling and screaming that she has found a body of a man with an ax in his chest Penelope s husband is eading a group that is calling for the app to be shut down not until there is what appears to be an attempt on Jamal does the pressure to shut down the app begins to ighten upCharli after an attempt on her ife knows she needs to set back and review what has been going on an come up with the killer and save her cousin s appI enjoy all the characters who are all well developed and believable I do have a problem with Charli In baseball after three strikes you are out and I feel it is time for her to give up on her former high school sweetheart Cade Calloway I think she might see the writing on the wall

but she needs
she needs take a stand one way of otherI will be watching for the next book in the series 2 of the things I really ike otherI will be watching for the next book in the series 2 of the things I really Noir like about series set in Texas and the main business is a book store Of course there are many other things that Iike about this series Princess the pink armadillo that is Charli s pet the attraction between Charli and Mateo and of course the history between Charli and Cade and that Charli s mom is there in spirit and don t stand beneath the sign Renovate: Changing Who You Are by Loving Where You Are leading up to the apartment if you treat Charli or her dad wrongIn this installment we get to meet Charli s cousin Jamal and her Aunt Violet I didn t know this but Violet is her mother s twin sister I don t think this was ever disclosed in the first two books But it was nice to see the family dynamic and the family moving forward in theirivesThis wouldn t be a mystery if someone didn t end up dead Or in this case a couple of people While you will pick up on why they were killed the who was uite a mystery I definitely did not figure it out until this character revealed themselves as the killer There are a few humorous parts while capturing the killer or at Gaffer least I got a chuckle out of them There is still theove triangle Cade and Mateo both have interest in Charli and I m sure on. Cess or that there’s only a week and a half to prepare for the signing It’s all because of The Book Seekers a smartphone app created by her cousin Jamal exclusively for Charli’s bookstore which sends fans on a virtual scavenger hunt around town for a chance to meet the bestselling author But as soon as it goes ive people turn up dead Someone’s using The Book Seekers to track victims.
